Choosing a Name for My Baby
We will soon have a new baby in the family and I have been thinking for days about what I would name it. I am so thrilled to use my motherly caring and nurturing skills once more. I have been preparing and waiting for its birth for months. I am (over) ripe to be a mom again at 50. Yes, it’s possible. Yes, I am having a premenopausal baby!
And I want my baby’s name to have the following elements:
1. Fairly short.
2. Memorable but easy to spell and pronounce.
3. Distinctly appealing.
4. Has a positive connotation.
5. Is timeless.
Ideas please. I have my hands full as I prepare for my baby’s birth. Oh, I feel sad that my husband cares less for trivia as a baby’s name and my two kids’ creative juices have been sapped by projects and finals that help from them is out of the question.
My baby’s gender? Not gender, but genre:
BARBER SHOP
You are all invited on its Christening day but anyone who could give me the right name for my baby gets a special early Christmas token.
Oh how exciting. I can’t imagine having a baby at the over-ripe age of 50 but still if I did have a baby, I will be truly blessed. I use a baby name book to choose my baby names.
wow, congratulations! how about RAHEL?
wow, congratulations! how about the name RAHEL?
How about Cuts and Snips? or maybe Cuts for Men? Ah, hard to choose a name for a barber shop. Just choose one that will attract attention for easy name recall, my 2cents.
Where would this be located?
hi.
thank you for droppin by my blog. it’s an honor.
Congratulations for a new baby — a barber shop — unisex? hmmm how about Snips and Color or Color and Cuts — CeeCee for Cuts & Colors if the place would be unisex. But if it is just for male — then I can agree with Julie’s suggestion - Cuts and Snips.
Good luck!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! How are you feeling and how’s the pregnancy coming along? May you find the best name ever for your coming child.
Thank you for your comment on my article “How I Discovered Gardening” at PMN. I hope you take pictures of your plants and show them on your blog…
